  No border, no broker

  As an intra-community supply between two member states, the goods are not imported: there is no customs declaration and no duty. For a VAT-registered Irish business, the supply is zero-rated at origin and VAT is reverse-charged on your own return, provided a valid VAT number is on the order. We put the required details on the invoice; your accountant handles the return. The practical effect is that the paperwork between Aveiro and Dublin is an invoice and a delivery note.

  EN 1021 for Irish and EU specifications

  Irish contract projects generally specify EN 1021 ignition resistance, and documentation is supplied against the fabric on your order. CMHR fire-retardant foam is standard, timber is PEFC-certified, and manufacture runs under ISO 9001. Where a project or a client group specifies BS 5852 or CAL 117 instead, those can be documented on the same order.

  What Irish trade buyers actually get from going direct

  Ireland has no volume seating manufacture of its own, so the trade has historically bought through British or continental distributors and inherited both their margin and their range. Ordering from the factory removes a step and opens the specification: six contract fabric families with more than 120 colours, customer's own material accepted, wood or powder-coated steel. No minimum order, volume pricing from thirteen units, quotes within one working day, material samples after project review.

Is there customs or duty on furniture from Portugal to Ireland?

No. Both countries are in the EU customs union, so it is an intra-community supply, with no customs entry and no import duty. For a VAT-registered business the supply is zero-rated at origin and reverse-charged on your own VAT return.

How long does delivery to Ireland take?

Production is four weeks ex-works after written confirmation. Transit on top of that depends on the forwarder and the route; we quote freight separately so you can compare it against your own carrier.

Do you supply Irish retailers as well as contract projects?

Both. Furniture retailers and showrooms buy at trade pricing to resell, and contract dealers quote us into hospitality and workplace projects. The same price list and the same no-minimum terms apply.
